The Netball Rally

On Saturday 29th April 2017, 7 Y6 girls from our school were chosen to participate in the Sutton Borough Netball Rally. During that week, we had won the league. This gave us confidence and hope in winning the rally.

When we all arrived we were very excited but also nervous. We started practising for the first half an hour so that we were ready to face our first opponents: Holy Trinity. The pressure was on us but we were ready to fight for our win. Because of our good co-operation and teamwork, we managed to succeed. After this, we beat Cheam Park Farm. Then Dorchester came…

Our hopes were raised when we won the first half of the match. Unfortunately, the opposing team stepped up their game and thrived, beating us by only a goal.

We then played Westbourne, who we were successful in beating.

Unfortunately, when it came to winning our group, we lost out on goal difference. But we all played amazingly well and were really proud of our efforts - as were Miss Moore and Mrs Harrison!
