2015 The Flag Project

Our school was invited to design a flag to represent our local area of Sutton and North Cheam for the 700th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.

The flag created was very creative but we didn’t think we would get a certificate saying well done about this creation. We spent a long time deciding what we were even going to do. In the end we decided to theme ours just on the local area of North Cheam.

After 2 sessions making of manic art and creativity, we finally finished the job at hand. Then Miss de Normanville sent them off to be judged. One half term and the Christmas holidays later, we found out the great news!

We were overjoyed when we got a certificate saying that we had created a flag which will be on display at the Houses of Parliament. We are so happy to found out that we have achieved this award we were jumping up and down in the corridors. Even though we are so excited we also have to remember that it’s not the winning that matters, it’s the taking part.
